Patriots Full 7-Round 2025 Mock Draft

NFL

Draft Day is less than a week away, and as a Patriots Fan, we all know how this can set up our season. With the addition of new Head Coach, Mike Vrabel, and a draft class filled with starters, New England is poised to make a dive. 2025 may not be a make or break season for Vrabel and the Pats, but it is for sure going to set up the future on how this team will take shape. As well as show us and the NFL the path forward under the new regime.

Using Mock Draft simulators, football knowledge, and research, here is our New England Patriots 2025 Mock Draft.

*TRADE* Round 1, P6 - Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

I know, I know… “A trade down two picks?” Correct. Making this trade with the Las Vegas Raiders not only sets up the Pats for a better success immediately it also protects their future. Trading the 4th overall pick and the 171st overall pick to Las Vegas, and picking up the 6th overall and 37th overall picks in this years draft allows the Pats and Raiders to make a jump to hold their own in 2025.

Kicking off the 2025 Pats Draft class with a defensive tone-setter. Carter brings a high level of athleticism to a defense that struggled to get into the back field in 2024. This pick, or any Edge rusher for that matter is not going to be a surprise in Round One for the Pats. Especially with Vrabel at the helm.

Round 2, P37 *From LV* - Luther Burden, WR, Missouri

A dynamic WR has been needed on this team for the better portion of a half-decade. Not some WR who is over 30 with no explosiveness. Burden is a true WR1; explosive in RAC, knows how to get space and smooth when he has it, and dangerous at all three levels of route running. He adds a needed playmaker for a younger* offense that has struggled in years.

*the Pats where the 12th youngest Team as of the Super Bowl last year at just 26 years, 5 months, and 26 Days of average age.

Round 2, P38 - Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon

Hold on… Two offensive picks in a row for the Patriots. Yea that’s right, you read it hear first… Building this offensive line has got to be a priority in the draft, and potentially trades. The trade with LV allows for New England to be greedy in Round two taking two offensive players in hopes of setting up the future. Conerly fits the needs of the front line in New England. A fluid, athletic tackle with long term starter potential. He is a natural pass protector who has shown glimpses of being a mobile back blocker. A smart investment if they want Maye to survive another season.

Round 3, Pick 69 - Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State

Judkins is a physical Back, nose down grinder. He may be a one cut runner but he is for sure a 3rd down back. Being Paired with Rhamondre Stevenson, the backfield duo could be a threat in the red zone, or for deep long runs. 2024 did see his lowest amount of carries, yards, and touchdowns for The Ohio State. Which allows his stock to drop here into the third round.

Round 3, Pick 77 - Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State

Darian is a long athletic corner who has the ability to play a slot corner. His speed and instincts are traits that pair really well with defensive cornerstone Christian Gonzalez. He has a great understanding of lineups, routes, and decision making with a high ceiling. If he falls to the 77th pick, expect the Pats to snag him.

Round 4, P106 - Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon

Two Oregon Ducks in the 2025 Draft for the Patriots. DUBS loves to see it. Especially two Ducks that have built chemistry over the last year and a half. Terrance provides a reliable pass catcher with a great understanding for route concepts. Is there a lot to learn? Of course, but, he can be a dependable safety valve until the passing game truly develops over the course of the season. He also contributed heavily in the run blocking department for Oregon, with Vrabel as his head coach, you can expect Ferguson to see plenty of action.

Round 5, P144 - Barrett Carter, LB, Clemson

Once considered a Day 1 Pick, Carter is now anticipated to fall rapidly. If his slide continues to fall into the later 4th or 5th round this could be one of the best picks in the draft and not just for the Patriots. This would surprise us all here at DUBS but its someone we would love to hit the field at Gillette. His isn’t the fastest LB in the draft, but his athleticism gives him a much higher potential. This is a development that has to happen, but they cant rush it.

Round 7, P220 - Jah Joyner, EDGE, Minnesota

The Pats continue to fill holes and try to add depth with this pick. A very strong candidate for preseason reps, is Jah Joyner out of Minnesota. There is no doubt he can play in the NFL. It really is a question as to what caliber he can get himself too. Not a Day One starter but could get there in a short period of time. A worthwhile development project with a pass rush heavy Head Coach.

Round 7, Pick 238 - Garrett Dellinger, IOL, LSU

Dellinger adds depth and physicality to the interior offensive line. He is know to be an aggressor on the Offensive Line. Though another late round, long term bet for a role player, Auburn is not necessarily known for its pass protection post 3.5 seconds of pocket play. The Patriots snag another offensive piece, not for starters, but for depth.

Conclusion

This mock draft focuses fully on the toughness and long term upside. No one anticipates the Patriots to be contenders for a Super Bowl, or even playoffs within a division which sees a Josh Allen Bills, one of the best WR Rooms in Miami, and “The God Damn Jets”. With Talent like Abdul Carter and Luther Burden being the pivotal picks, and others across the board, the Patriots could walk away with a solid score for this years Draft. It gives them a core to grow with, in a draft class that is filled with depth and starters, not necessarily Stars. A class for the Pats that has a High Ceiling but low expectations is exactly the realism this franchise needs. Give New England immediate help, and future proof depth.
