The Only 2025 Round 1 Mock Draft You Need

The 2025 NFL Season may not start until Mandatory Training in July. But, in reality, it starts tonight. Round One of the draft begins at 8:00pm EST/7:00pm CST, where every team hopes to draft a major contributor. The days of Round One, or even Rounds Two and Three picks, not being a day one starter are essentially gone. Especially for primary position players. Each year, millions of people think they know what they’re team is going to do.

Thousands of people think they know what the first round will look like. We scoured hundreds of mock drafts, simulated dozens of our own, to bring you this Round 1 Mock Draft.

Pick #1 - Tennessee Titans - Cam Ward, QB, Miami

Once the Titans acquire stronger offensive lineman including Dan Moore Jr., they made it known Cam Ward was going to be the pick here. Ward proved he can be a versatile QB through his journey at three schools. He has the tenacity to grind, he has the power for down field play, and has the intelligence to be move out of the pocket. I cannot see a path the Titans take, that doesn’t result in Cam being their QB

Pick #2 - Cleveland Browns - Travis Hunter, WR, Colorado

Travis Hunter is arguably the best player in the draft. If the Titans didn’t have the biggest question mark for their team at QB, Hunter is the number one pick. He plays both sides and wants to continue to play both sides. Will that happen? Probably not, but whatever side they choose to have him play, he has elite hands. Work ethic unlike we have seen in a while (I mean he plays both sides of the ball). The IQ he brings already coming into the NFL will be a massive upside for Cleveland.

Pick #3 - New York Giants - Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn St.

"Once I go to New York, I'm all New York - I'm going to have to leave Philly behind" - That’s is what Abdul Carter said in a recent plea to the Giants. If you have a guy who is openly telling you, “this is where I want to be”, you have to bring him to you. Especially when it is the best Edge Rusher in the draft. If the Giants screw this up, it could be a generational-Hall of Fame flop of a draft.

Pick #4 - New England Patriots

- Will Campbell, OT, LSU

“Wait a minute, didn’t DUBS release a Pats mock draft with drafting Abdul Carter?” - Why yes, yes we did! It is plausible the Pats are able to snag him. But with his recent comments on the Giants. There two paths. Will Campbell is the likely option. Drake Maye needs protection going into his second year, and Campbell is an immediate answer. He allowed just 5 sacks over the course of three years.

Pick #5 - Jacksonville Jaguars - Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

If you would have asked me a month ago what the Jaguars should do Day one of the draft, I would say go defensive. But recent reports point in the opposite direction. Many seem to think Ashton Jeanty will be snagged by the Jags. It is likely, however… Laim Coen, new head coach in Jacksonville, formerly in Tampa Bay, has taken a keen liking to McMillan. Being compared to Mike Evans. With their top two WR being Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis, and Davis under performing (not counting his injuries) this is the perfect fit. Look for McMillan to make the Top 5 tonight.

Pick #6 - Las Vegas Raiders

- Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

With Jeanty falling out of the Top 5, the Raiders get a back that has explosiveness, and insane athleticism. The Best Running Back in the Draft and worth being drafted to any team in the Top 5. The Raiders have openly stated the love Jeanty. As much as many people believe the Jags take him off the board, the Jags love McMillan, and the Raiders love Jeanty. Win/Win.

Pick #7 - New York Jets - Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

Remember when I said the Pats have Two Options? This would be option number two. If the Pats go Campbell, the Jets go Graham, and vice versa. Pairing Graham with Quinnen Williams would create one of the best young pass rushing tandems in the league. The Jets got their offense in order with Justin Fields, and this only strengthens their defense to put them in contention, in a division full of contenders.

Pick #8 - Carolina Panthers - Jason Walker, LB, Georgia

Sticking with our Panthers Mock Draft, Carolina snags Walker at 8th. With Bryce Young improving at the end of last year, and Brian Burns gone, this would be a massive replacement for the Panthers. Walker brings a much needed rejuvenation of high energy in your face defense the Panthers have lacked for years.

Pick #9 - New Orleans Saints - Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

Coming off the board later than expected Armand Membou out of Missouri head to the Saints. They need offensive line help, he is athletic, quick, and controlled. Armand could be the protection answer that allows the Saints more than the 2.3 seconds in pocket they had last year.

Pick #10 - Chicago Bears - Tyler Warren, TE, Penn St.

The most fun pick so far in the draft. The Bear opened up their draft pool after going after essentially an entirely new offensive line in free agency. Allowing the Bears to be able to go any way they feel. Warren is a large Tight End, with great hands, that uses his size in blocking to impact both the pass and rushing lanes.

Pick #11 - San Francisco 49ers - Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

The 49ers cut half their team. There is no way around it. They have to take advantage of Mykel falling out of the Top 10 due to ankle injuries throughout the season. Even with being injured he showed his athleticism. He can play inside and outside of the nose tackle, with aggressive rushing tendencies is a perfect fit in San Fran.

Pick #12 - Dallas Cowboys - Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

The Cowboys wanted McMillan. To bad, the get a grand slam wide receiver with down field speed. One of the fastest players in the draft. Jerry Jones Loves this kid. Jerry does what Jerry wants. #JDWJW

Pick #13 - Miami Dolphins - Kelvin Blanks Jr., OT, Texas

The Dolphins could go CB here. But Blanks falls into the early teens. We all know Tua needs protection unlike any other. Their blocking is abysmal, and Blanks is an excellent pass rusher. At 21 yeas old, he has over 40 starts in college. He will bring that experience and absorb even more from the terrible vets in Miami.

Pick #14 - Indianapolis Colts - Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

AR15 needs some help. He needs receivers and we all know he needs to grow. He is young. The last time the Colts had a tight end reach 500 yards? Eric Ebron in 2018. The only team in the NFL to not hit that mark in that time frame. Loveland would bring a whole new passing game to Indy. When they need it the most.

Pick #15 - Atlanta Falcons - Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

Though this team needs help at edge, they desperately need help at Corner. The free agency market isn’t there this year for corners, and the later round draft is as reliable as a dog is at catching house mice. The safe pick if he is available is Will.

Pick #16 - Arizona Cardinals - Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

With the Falcons going for Corner, Mike Green continues to fall as the next best edge rusher. Green had an FBS leading 17 sacks last year, and he is versatile. He has the ability and has played face down at the line, while also getting snaps at linebacker. Not as strong as one might want, but quick enough to force impacts on defense.

Pick #17 - Cincinnati Bengals - Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

The Bengals have two desperate needs and its at either side of the line. Offensive Tackles are in abundance this year and at good quality. But DT and Edge rushers are going quick in 2025. See them snag Walter here instead, of say Conerly at OT.

Pick #18 - Seattle Seahawks - Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio St.

Simmons drops to 18th here. Realistically could drop even further. He is coming off of a torn Patellar Tendon. But if he cant get/stay healthy he has great footwork in the pass, and great blocking on the run. Putting him alongside Paris Johnson Jr., a guy I wanted the Steelers to pick up, and a running back duo as strong as anyone in the league. Put the Cardinals in the middle of their division.

Pick #19 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

The Bucs had one of the worst middle of the field defenses last year. Bringing in Campbell from Alabama clears up the issue for now. But with LaVonte David only getting older, see them get another LB this year or next. They could also heavily address CB this year and even at this spot with guys like Jahdae Barron still available.

Pick #20 - Denver Broncos - Omarion Hampton, RB, UNC

I want this so bad for the Steelers. But everything is shaping up that they take Sanders. So the only logical alteration to our mock draft would be Hampton here. The Broncos need a back that will adapt to Bo Nix play. A down hill back that allows for great receiving and pass blocking when needed.

Pick #21 - Pittsburgh Steelers - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

I wanted Hampton. I settle for Sanders. It’s okay… I’m okay… i am not okay.

Pick #22 - Los Angeles Chargers - Grey Zabel, OT, North Dakota State

There are plenty of available Guards and Tackles left. The Chargers, whether they will admit or not, are a nose first offense. They thrive and succeed when they win in the trenches. Whether that be running or pass blocking. Zabel brings great protection to the bolts. Having played center and guard, this is a likely choice.

Pick #23 - Green Bay Packers - Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon

The First Duck off the board is Derrick Harmon. His projections are all over and so are the Packers. Some say WR, some say CB, I say Derrick Harmon. When this guy is in mid season form, he is a 4 down player. Strong and quick, enough to get into any backfield during the run game. Green Bay would be happy if he lands here in the 1st or 2nd.

Pick #24 - Minnesota Vikings - Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

The first safety off the board. For the Vikings, its a question of which Safety. I love Malaki Starks, but they find Emmanwori a better fit. With Harrison Smith turning 36 this year… its no question they need to start finding a replacement.

Pick #25 - Houston Texans - Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon

Quack…Quack… As you could guess the Texans need lineman help like every other team this year. They want to address WR as well in this draft but wont be able to pass up on a Duck Lineman. He has a lot of balance and control that can help protect C.J. Stroud.

Pick #26 - Los Angeles Rams - Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

I think no matter what way you look at it the Rams go CB in round one. They have great talent at the line and they’re young. But, their backfield defense hasn’t been the same since Ramsey left. Look for Amos to go close to this spot late in the draft.

Pick #27 - Baltimore Ravens - Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

Malaki is the best safety in the draft in my opinion. If he is still on the board this late, which he is projected all over the 20’s, the Ravens will take him. With great range and ball skills he will for sure tie up any questions on the down field defense the Ravens had last year.

Pick #28 - Detroit Lions - Donovan Jackson, G, Ohio St.

A tough and physical Guard who used to play tackle. Showing his versatility switching to guard is proof he is NFL Ready. In Detroit, this will only bolster their strong running game. Allowing for Jackson to take a starting tackle role as a rookie.

Pick #29 - Washington Commanders - Shavon Revel Jr., CB, ECU

Commanders don’t really need offensive help this early. Look for them to go with down field defense, Safety or Corner at this spot. I love Shavon in Washington, great speed and massive size for a cornerback.

Pick #30 - Buffalo Bills - Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

This man ran a 4.28 40-yard dash. The Bills love corners with speed. They are zone heavy which will allow Maxwell to roam more than average. He saw this a lot in college at UK and it will only benefit both of them to fit this scheme properly.

Pick #31 - Kansas City Chiefs - Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

Kenneth Grant is projected in the late teens or early twenty’s. But none the less a slide for the Wolverine. I think Harmon would also be a nice fit, but alas he is gone. The Chiefs add depth to a thinning defensive tackle position. With a guy who can fit very nicely next to Chris Jones.

Pick #32 - Philadelphia Eagles - Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio St.

In a massive twist, the Eagles draft what they hope is the next AJ Brown for them. Brown wants to be Patriot more than you want your Mom’s lasagna when your wife makes spaghetti. This probably wont happen, but who doesn’t love a little shake up to end Day One.

Day One of The Draft

Results may vary, but this is a good outline for the teams to make a succesful splash without trading up or down. Teams get much needed assets to begin, and day two and three will for sure be a blast. Winners of day one of the draft in our opinion will be; Ravens, Packers, and Giants. Getting the best players available at their picks.

These selections highlight teams' focus on enhancing depth across various positions, including offensive line, defensive backfield, and skill positions, as they aim to develop young talent and address specific roster needs. Here is to the beginning of 2025.
